Congratulations to two very deserving recipients of the WinMan Annual Scholarship.

The WinMan Annual Scholarship is awarded to up to two deserving student-athletes who have demonstrated community service in their school and community as well as dedication to their academic studies and athletic endeavours.

This year, our scholarship committee has selected two deserving individuals.

Carter Osiowy is a graduate of Transcona Collegiate. Carter is active in his school serving as student council president, peer tutoring, and a member of the performing arts program at his school. Carter volunteers at the Plessis Resource Centre and also serves as a basketball/volleyball official for middle years students in his school division.

Roland Mangali is a graduate of College Miles Macdonell Collegiate. Roland serves on the Youth Aid Society. The main initiatives of the program include the sickle cell anemia foundation and West Central’s Women’s Resource Centre where his organization collected feminine products to prevent barriers to women in inner-city neighbourhoods. Roland also spent the 2023 season volunteering full time as an assistant coach with the WinMan 14U boys program
