WinMan Volleyball Club’s 16U WinMan Warriors team captured the 16 & Under Boys Gold medal at the Volleyball Canada National Championships held in Calgary, Alberta.
This marks an unprecedented 11th National Championship for the WinMan Volleyball Club, which has been in existence since 2003. No club across Canada has won as many National titles as WinMan. WinMan Volleyball Club is based in Winnipeg, Manitoba and draws its athletes from Winnipeg and its surrounding communities.
The WinMan Warriors 16U boys defeated the Prince George Kodiaks from Prince George, British Columbia in the final, 2-1. Scores were 23-25, 25-13, 15- 7.
Tournament all stars from WinMan were Matthew Campbell and Kalen Reyes, and tournament MVP was Ethan Harder.
The WinMan Warriors had won a National Silver medal in 2016, losing to the Alberta Provincial Champions last May.
