Sitting Volleyball Camp – Saturday March 18
Volleyball Manitoba presents a Sitting Volleyball camp opportunity for athletes interested in learning more about this Paralympic sport.
The camps are scheduled for Saturday, March 18 and Saturday, May 13 from 9am – 12pm at Norberry Glenlee CC in Winnipeg.
In addition to the opportunity to learn more about the Sitting Volleyball game, the Volleyball Canada High Performance Director for Sitting Volleyball, Ian Halliday, will be delivering the March 18 camp, and will use the time to not only promote the sport and teach the participating athletes, but will also be using the camp as identification opportunity for potential athletes interested in the Sitting National Team programs. Both our men’s and women’s National Sitting teams earned bronze medals in Toronto at the 2015 ParaPanAm Games, with the women’s team qualifying for and competing last summer at the Rio Paralympics.
Coaches and athletes are also invited to attend the camps to observe and learn more about the sport.
If you are interested in participating, please contact John Blacher at volleyball.ed@sportmanitoba.ca
