Congratulations to Serge Girouard, the 2016 WinMan Volleyball Club Scholarship recipient.  The WinMan Volleyball Club has awarded over $6600 since 2009 to various student athletes who were leaders in their school and community to assist with their post secondary studies.

Serge is an outstanding student. Serge is enrolled in the International Baccalaureate diploma program (Full IB) at Miles Macdonell Collegiate in which he has excelled in the program earning high marks in all of his courses and a 98% average. Although an International Baccalureate diploma is recognized worldwide at the post-secondary level, Serge has decided on his opportunity for direct entry into the Faculty of Engineering program at the University of Manitoba, where he will also be playing with the men’s volleyball program there.

In addition to his strong academic achievements, Serge has demonstrated good citizenship as a volunteer in his school and community. Serge has also given back by volunteering with WinMan Volleyball Club as a guest instructor/coach with our youth camps and programs.

On the court, Serge is well respected by his teammates and coaches. In his 5 years as a WinMan athlete, Serge has been a leader on and off the court. Congratulations Serge!
